 What is your story....

The Reflection theme for the 2016-2017 school year was submitted by Brianna Eisman of Douglas Anderson PTSA, FL and selected through the Reflections Theme Search Contest.

Each fall, thousands of students submit concepts for a future Reflections theme to their State PTA organizations. Nebraska PTA will select five themes to submit to the National PTA for consideration in the 2018–19 National PTA Reflections theme contest.

For information on how to complete an entry form and submit your concept contact Kathleen Ward at neptareflections@gmail.com

Reflections

Family engagement in the Reflections™ Programis one of PTA’s most important goals.  Each student is encouraged – by teachers, PTA leaders and parents/guardians – to reflect on a theme and create an original piece of artwork.  Mentors are impactful simply through their
encouragement to explore the arts.

This program relies heavily on the unique creativity of each student. With certain exceptions being made in the Special Artist Division, it is important that student mentors allow their children and students to be the sole driving-force in not only creative a work of art, but
inspiring it as well.  If you have any questions regarding family/mentor participation in the Reflections program, please contact your local PTA Reflections leader, Kathleen at neptareflections@gmail.com .
